Souls of Mischief

Souls of Mischief are one of the few groups that maintain their old school sound no matter how far past the golden era we get. I was so pleasantly surprised when I heard this album and found that these dudes stayed true to their roots. This album was produced largely by Prince Paul so you already know the beats are on point and A-Plus, Tajai, Opio & Phesto bring their good-humored lyrics to the project as per usual. I’m not gonna sit here and say I liked this album better than ’93 Til Infinity’ but I will say it was one of the more enjoyable albums of 2009.

I mean what can I say except that this album contains one of my favorite hip hop songs of all time (93 ’til Infinity). So good it gives me the chills everytime. I would venture to say that people that don’t even listen to hip hop would like this song lol. But this is by no means a one-hit-wonder album. Its full of the goodness. And if you ever get the chance to see them live, definitely go! They put on such an ill show.
