MC Lyte completely paved the way for all femcees who came after her.  Her presence on the mic is unshakable.  And she was one of the first to question the sexist nature of hip hop songs and to stand up for the respect of women.  You won’t see her using her (ass)ets to get ahead in the game.  Well actually her assets are being dope as fuck on the mic so I guess she does use that lol.  If you like old school beats and styles then you will love this.  Plenty of turntablism and bass-heavy beats.
