Looks like we have another fine woman to add to the growing list of talented femcees.  I can quite honestly say that I have never heard anyone quite like Dessa.  Half singer/half emcee, all dope.  She is part of the Doomtree collective, yet another Minnesota crew.  All I wanna know is what the hell are they puttin in the water out there in Minneap?  I swear that city produces ill hip hop like clockwork.  Anyways, this album is Dessa’s second solo release and it leaves quite an impression.  It’s somewhat on the dark side with amazing lyricism and metaphors that will have you intrigued by her clever little mind.  With her lingering voice these tracks will stick with you long after you’ve stopped listening.
